SEASON FINALE

Finaly the last meeting of the season,and being in May it was a very cold night.But the action on the track was enough to keep you warm with 26 Superstocks having some good old battle's with 34s Pete Mosley showing some of his racing style that got him in the Stratford Scrappers team 20+ years ago and Peter Rees using his bumper to good use on a few cars.65b John Hynd got a little bit warmer when his car caught on fire after being involved in the 61p car getting rolled,John did get out ok but took no more part in the racing.Win's were shared between 591p Wayne Hemi,31p Andy McCabe and 7p Shane Penn.After some very fast and action packed 3 heat's the Superstock King of the Arena for 2008 was 94p Royden Collingwood,2nd 591p and 77p Wayne Norris 3rd.

The stockcars allso raced for there King of the Arena title and with plenty of action here allso.The early leader in heat1 52b Regan O'Brien was put into pit bend by 11p Peter Rees and was out for the rest of the night,71b peter barry was in the thick of things allso.7p Cameron Renwick debut his new stockcar and seemed to like the hitting side of things that go'es with stockcar racing,but got rolled by 33p Brad Powell on the grand stand strait,wins went to 67p Alec Wilson,92p Brett LLoyed and 11p Peter Rees.after all 3heat's there was a runoff for 1st and 2nd place between 11p and 92p.At the start 11p Peter Rees got the jump on 92p and went on to win.

all and all it was a very good meeting roll on next season. seeya next time WAL
