PALMERSTON NORTH SUPER STOCK REVIEW 2010-11 SEASON
Another good year for superstocks at palmy with most nights the car count in the high teen's or 20+ cars.
The Panthers were back to there best with winning the teams champs and the teams nationals in auckland and winning the challange cup in nelson.
scott joblin had a good season with getting 2nz and making the panther line up for auckland team nats bevan humphrey started the season as 2nz.would have to say not one of bevans best seasons peter rees just read what he won
1st north island champs
3rd nzchamps
2nd GP
3rd manawatu champs
1st BOP champs
1st Westcoast champs
1st in points at palmy and wanganui plus many race wins and winning panther member not a bad season really bruce ward still going strong, sometimes he just seems to have some bad luck shane penn, another good season for this car and driver with getting 1st at the manawatu champs,1st eastcoast champs,2nd hb champs, placemakers champ and 2nd on points at palmy and another winning season with the panthers and hopefully not the last scott miers,i thought this was going to be a great season for scott with the tank at palmy early in the season and looking good then buying the x-wade tank but then it all went wrong,he had a big hit from 95p and that was his season done realy with only making one race at the teams champs-won the race-but that was it for scott, jack miers then raced the tank a few times brett hyslop, raced this car a few times, was in the mustangs were he broke his leg and it looks like his racing days are over which will be a shame clinton schicker, now this looks good for next season,im sure once every thing is sorted on this car we will some good things here rob potts raced a few times in palmy but with not much luck phillip gargan another driver from taranki way racing in palmy. andy mccabe is always on the pace and he won the hb champs and 2nd in the eastcoast champs,5th on points at palmy, always good to watch graeme barr this car is fast and got 2nd in the manawatu champs, graeme is a driver with plenty of talent so hopefully better things to come next year paul west, this is the 32p with a differant body on it.paul may have his own car next season zane dykstra, raced a few times, car is for sale robin davenport, another driver who has had some bad luck but still a quick car when he has it hooked up daryl hammond, had a few races in this car but then not seen for awhile, still a fast and strong car kevin roberts, not much luck for the 53p this season with getting rolled twice but still always great to see kevin out there dave tarrant, can have the car realy flying at times was just out side the top 10 in the points, raced for the hawkes bay hawkeye at the teams champs peter bengston, always there or there about 3rd on the season points and a member of the winning panthers team stephen penn another palmy driver to show some good pace but also have some bad luck gary trotter, must be palmys elder statesman seems to have been around forever but not slowing down though kev smith, one of palmys biggest disapointments this season with kev only racing a few meetings then having the car for sale, looks like another early retirement through injury tony whittaker, after palmys practice it looked like tony might not make the season after motor problems, but he came back and one driver to watch if he slows down, had a go at a few drivers in the placemakers round and the manawatu champs simon joblin, not a good season for this driver seemed to have a few motor problems mike mccready,a very under rated driver, has good gear and can have this car flying got 3rd in the placemakers series. wayne norris, started the season well but then had motor problems and was not seen for the rest of the season, this car may have a trial engine init for next season kerry humphrey,a very good driver and fast car,got 4th on points and 3rd in the placemakers series, look out next season jack miers, this could be a driver to watch in the future, could be driving a tank next year so should be good not sure on the driver here but had a few through the season james soane, didn't do many meetings this season but still a quick car clive elliot, was looking good for clive then it all went pear shape when he it 8p and broke his foot, that was the end of his season chad ace, another young driver to watch, realy started to show some form near the end of the season, very fast car, finished the season as 4p craig humphries, another driver to start the season well then get injured and fall away on the points but im sure craig will be back wayne hemi, won the GP and was a member of the panther again, always well presented carthere you have it the palmy superstock review, dont think i missed anyone but if you have any more info about what i have wrote or want something changed you can txt me on 0274040183
