STOCKCAR GP FROM TE MARUA

The stockcar GP was finaly run after been rained out a few weeks ago,four cars could not make it back so 26cars started the first heat.All eyes were on 11p Peter Rees and 21w Don Gregory to see what would happen after there last encounter but it all came to nothing with 11p racing away for the win and 21w getting tagged by 31p Gary Davis and finishing down the feild.

heat 2 and with 11p starting behind 21w maybe we would see some pay back,but not this time as 31p again got 21w up the wall and out of the race.91w Klye Lane went on for the win and 11p went infield with gearbox trouble which in the end put 11p out for the rest of the night.

heat 3 and as soon as the race started 21w was on the brakes as 31p was behind him with the rest of the field racing away 31p was hitting and pushing 21w around the 1st and 2nd corners.31p pushed 21w to the infield then away he went then on lap 4 they meet again with 31p hitting 21w hard on the back bumper both cars were moving rather slow by now and meet again on the next corner were they both went to the wall and stayed there for the rest of the race.49w Allan Levein and 449r Stephen McPherson were battling away with each other for the whole race with some got hitts going in,with all the action going on and 91w out of the race 3nz(22w) Richard Gaskin went on to win the race and take out the 2008 Stockcar GP with 11w Darren Gray 2nd and 16r Clive Pritchard 3rd, welldone to these three drivers.
