New Zealand Stockcar Champs

Wanganui Speedway 20/21-2-10
What a great weekend of stockcar racing at wanganui speedway for the NZ champs.over 150 cars turned up to qualify and after 18 races we had the top 30 drivers ready to battle out for the NZ title(i wont go into detail of the qualifying but go to www.oceanviewspeedway.co.nz for more info)

Saturday night and the weather was all good and so was the action on the track and after 3 hard fought heats Peter Rees was the new champion making him the first driver in the stockcar class to win 3 New Zealand championship titles.

It was good to see the palmy guys working togeather in the last race and doing plenty of blocking for rees.

In 2nd spot was 24w Scott Macintosh after a run off with 686s Chris Flett welldone to these 2 drivers.

Well done to the wanganui club for putting on a great show and all the drivers
