With no feature meeting for the stockcars or superstocks it was just 3 races each for the night.with about 20 cars each racing it was not to bad with some fast racing in the superstocks and a bit of biff between 64p and 31p made for some great racing.

The stockcars also were putting in some hits and the biff between 67p and 18p is still going on which is good to see for us watching the racing.

I've put a small video clip up of some of the action so enjoy and till next time Wal

p.s Good luck to the Manawatu Steelers who are racing at huntlys teams meeting this coming weekend

WOODFORD GLEN MEETING 4 14-11-2009

The fourth meeting of the season at Woodford Glen saw both the Stockcars and Superstocks racing together to make a decent sized field. There were 7 Superstocks in attendance including 18N Shane Harwood who was getting some early practice in before the McCall Trophy Teams Race against the Nelson Tigers this weekend and 89C Jason Smith in his own car for the first time this season. Also returning to the track was Mark Osbourne in the 86C machine of Jason Moore. This is only fueling the rumours that Osbourne will be named in the Glen Eagles team to race the Tigers this weekend even though he is not contracted to Woodford Glen anymore. 11 local Stockcars joined the Superstocks for four races.

The four races were fairly uneventful with the Superstocks starting at the front of the grid. 59C Brad Rosewarne hit his nemesis 14C Aaron Rowlands off the start while 1NZ Malcolm Ngatai shot to the front where he stayed to win easy from 83C Shane Anderton and Smith third.

Ngatai then won the second and third races comfortably with Anderton getting another two seconds with Harwood and 86C Mark Osbourne sharing a third place each.

There was some drama in the fourth race as Ngatai pulled to a stop in turns 1 and 2 before pulling off with engine trouble which can hopefully be fixed before the teams race with Nelson this weekend. In the meantime it was all Jason Smith, passing Osbourne after a couple of laps to win comfortably from Anderton and Osbourne.
