Stockcar Teams Race Wellington Young Guns vs Puma's

Saturday Night saw team's racing between wellington and palmy.With the team's champs next month this was a good shake down for the Puma's who were having two driver's making there debut for the puma's.67p(6p) Alec Wilson and 53p(5p) Todd O'Donnell.With the weather looking bad the promoter keeped the program running smouthly all night with hardly any waiting between race's and the other classes racing put on some brillant race's with high number's in the minisprint's to the sprint cars and alway's the ministocks with over 30 cars.the team's race was a hard fought win for the puma's with the black car's getting the early lead and looking strong but wellington being wellington they fought back and had the lead mid way through the race,but this time the Puma's new what had to be done and took out the the leading welly car and that left the puma's captian 31p(8p) gary davis the lead and on to the win.

The first superstock race had over 16cars and was full on with fast racing and it was good to see shane penn back and in winning form.the first stockcar race was low in numbers but was an entertaining race with 14p ikey hautapa getting his second win of the season.the next race for the superstocks saw the battle between 53p kevin roberts and 2nz peter rees continue with 53p geting rolled at pit corner(may the show continue)the second stockcar race had the team car's out and there was a bit more action with 67p(6p) alec wilson getting rolled by 27p.the combined feature was fast and with roberts startin behind rees it was going to be interesting to see what was going to happen.but 2nz took off and was on his way for the win when he got spun with about 1 lap to go and let 3nz shane peen in for the win.this was a very well run meeting and the best so far for me this season.
