Palmerston North Speedway

Stockcars 27-3-10
With a few of the top drivers at the world of stocks meeting and no superstocks racing i was not expecting much in the way of stockcar numbers or action but was very happy to see 28 cars start the 1st race with some new drivers and car making there first apperance of the season.

39p Graeme dunn and 37p (name?)are new cars and they looked like they enjoyed themselfs,not getting to much agro from other drivers and getting the feel of stockcar racing.57p Adrian Tipene had his first outing this season and 36p Karl Swenson had his new car out for the first time at palmy(he brought 59s car).

The 3 stockcar races were very good with plenty of spinning and pushing etc.there were 4 visiters 3 from the bay and 7v Justin Cunningham who got a 2nd palce in the first race then went on in the next 2 races to hit or be hit by 56p,75p,53p any any other car that got close.

The wins in the stockcars went to 67p Alec Wilson,9p Gareth Edwards and a very good win to 10p Josh Prentice in the feature race.

With a few drivers now stepping up and showing the bumper a bit more the Manawatu champs should be a very good meeting.
