Robin Pratt Memorial for Stockcars

31-10-09
The Robin Pratt Memorial was the main event at palmy and with 33 cars starting the 1st heat you would think there would be plenty of action but it was rather lacking.after 58v took out 3nzp Peter Rees there was not much action at all.the 2nd heat had a bit more with cars getting spun up etc but it was the 3rd heat where it all happened with 3nzp hitting most of the leading cars and 99p Ron Tye in there aswell this was a good race.18p Craig Healey and 67p Alec Wilson did most of the race hitting each other, someone lost a wheel and 99p went over the top of it,35p was in the sights of 3nzp and had a few lucky scrapes.after all the action was done 557p Darrell Wallace was the winner with 31p Gary Davis 2nd and 97p Graeme Ward 3rd well done guys.

The superstock racing was fast and not much went on there,591p Wayne Hemi had his 1st meeting of this season and once the set up is right he should be flying again

WOODFORD GLEN MEETING 3 31 -10-2009

The third meeting of the season at Woodford Glen saw both the Stockcars and Superstocks on the programme. There was a good 21 car field of Stockcars, while a disappointing 8 Superstocks raced with the help of a few stockcars to make up numbers.

The Stockcars provided some great action from their 3 races with 107c Colin Cameron, 91c Andy Pawsey and 17c Vaughan Fairburn taking the wins. There were some heavy hits dished out, a couple that stood out were 16c Leon Huddlestone walling 9c Dean Franklin hard along the back straight and Pawsey putting a big hit on 41c Ben Jacobs in the third race.

The 3 Superstock races were a 1NZ Malcolm Ngatai benefit, as he won all 3 although he had his work cut out in the second and third races as 59c Brad Rosewarne in particular made him work for the wins. Ngatai won the first race easily and was well positioned in the second before Rosewarne walled him in turn 4 with Ngatai recovering to still win while Rosewarne turned his attention to 83c Shane Anderton nailing him into the turn 1 and 2 wall.

The third heat saw Ngatai power to the lead while Rosewarne and Anderton resumed their one-on-one battle after Anderton hit Rosewarne hard in turn 4 and was then collected by 97c Paul Dummelow. Rosewarne then spun Ngatai in turns 1 and 2, but he was able to recover and still win by some distance.
