PALMERSTON NORTH SPEEDWAY

 ROBIN PRATT MEMORIAL 2-11-08

Once again this meeting turned into a cracker,After saturday got canned because of rain, the promoters decided to run on sunday which was a good move with the weather turning out to be perfect.A feild of about 24 cars started the 1st heat for the Robin Pratt Memorial and the pace was quick, not a lot of action in this heat with 11p Peter Rees winning from 54p Bevan Humphrey.heat2 had the young 17p Shane Simpson winning from a charging 11p Peter Rees who came from the back of the grid to get second.

The last heat and this is where the heat was turned up with cars going in all directions and 4p Scott McIntosh being in the thick of it.7p Cameron Rewick was rolled and 11p was attacked most times when he went past 4p.

After all the action was over 31p Gary Davis came out the winner, but 11p Peter Rees took away the trophy with 94p Roydon Collingwood having an excellant drive to take 2nd and 31p Gary Davis 3rd.all in all it was a very good meeting for the stockcar boys and big thanks to 16r Clive Pritchard for making the trip down

Now for the superstocks,9p Brett Hyslop with his new tank has gone on to the attack mode when ever he comes out pit gate and had a running battle all night with the two Harvey Norman cars of Dave and Herb Tarrant. He rolled the 57p car of Daves then had Herb having a go at him,it really made the Superstock races interesting.

but one thing that has not changed is 7p Shane Penn winning, taking out two races for the night with some very good driving(hope this carries on at the NZ Champs).

thats all for now seeya at the track Wal
