Wellington Speedway Stockcar Teams Finals 20-3-10

This meeting is starting to feel like Deja vu as the Wellington young guns took out there 5th title in a row,but it was a bit more hard fought win this year as the Palmerston North Pumas had the semi final in the bag till the last corner when there lead car got pushed wide and the 53w of Paul Gaskin took the win.

The 2nd semi had the Vulcans against Gladiators and this was another good race with the Vulcan blockmen doing a great job and getting there runner 89v Allan Levein over the line for the win and a shot at the title.

The 3rd and 4th place runoff was won by the Pumas as Peter Rees bashed his way past the Gladiators to take the win and 3rd palce for the Pumas.

The Final and once again the Young Guns showed there class as they blocked well and got there runner out to a handy lead.I'm not sure if it was that both teams had blue colour bodys but the Vulcans just seemed to keep missing the Young Guns runner,but there were putting in the hits on the other wellington cars,wellington were giving as good as they were getting and in the they got the win to the delight of there home supporters.you can watch the whole of the final at the bottom of the page.
