TE MARUA SPEEDWAY

Saturdays finals got rained off so it was on sunday at 1pm.

Got to the track about 12.00 and got some photos,the sun was out but there was rain coming.Now i don't normly comment on how a meeting is run,but the 1st heat was not run untill 2.30pm? The 1st heat should be run in my opinion in the first half hour of the meeting then the next heat about one hour later and the 3rd heat an hour later with every thing going to plan.To me having the 1st heat AN HOUR AND HALF in to the meeting is not on and it was not needed the meeting was to find the stockcar GP winner and if other classes had to miss a race or two so be it any way thats my bitch for the week.

We had the 1st and there was plenty of action,with 11p peter rees getting taken to the wall big time by 21w(cant wait till these two meet again)11p lost the lead with this hit but still finished the race way down in the placings.After the race was over the rain started to fall and at about 3.30pm the meeting was called off(bugger).

WENT TO TE MARUA SPEEDWAY FOR THE STOCKCAR GP

THERE WERE ABOUT 80 CARS THERE AND THE QUALIFYING WAS REAL ACTION PACKED WITH PLENTY OF CAR GETTING SPUN OR PUT UP THE WALL.HAVE PUT SOME PHOTOS UP OF LAST NIGHTS RACING
